Industrial Strategies for the Future of Supply Chains

Changing global context is challenging traditional approaches to supply chains

Recent global developments are triggering a rethink of global supply chain configurations with important implications for the manufacturing ecosystem and for countries relying on them. The reshuffling underway is driven by five new priorities for companies and governments alike – sustainability, resilience, skilled talent, technology readiness, and new customer demand – which will lead to significant changes in the manufacturing geographical footprint with important implications for different industry sectors and economies across developing and developed countries.

To remain competitive and navigate future disruptions, companies and governments must strengthen their collaboration to rethink the configuration of supply chains as well as future industrial strategies that can ensure productivity, innovation and economic growth, both at a company and at a country level.
