Scaling Technologies to Decarbonize Energy
Accelerating the development and deployment of technologies to decarbonize energy will be at the core of tackling climate change effectively at the speed required. The Global Agenda Council on Decarbonizing Energy is a global group of experts convened within the World Economic Forum’s Network of Global Agenda Councils for the 2015/2016 term. Mandated to identify effective pathways to decarbonizing the energy mix and catalyse their implementation, the group is focusing on highlighting and accelerating the deployment of technologies that hold significant potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the energy sector. This paper presents the interim findings, including a set of high-potential technologies and pathways to scale.
