Too hot to work? Here's how countries are protecting people

Employers can play a key role in protecting their workers from heat. They can educate staff on heat stress and how to spot it. They can adapt schedules by letting workers clock on early in the morning, or later in the day or allowing shorter shifts and longer breaks. Businesses can also retrofit offices and vehicles to add AC or radiant cooling. In the long-term though, experts say public policy changes are needed.
