Drinking Black Tea Linked To Longer Life, Shows Research

Drinking black tea could help you live longer. People who drink 2 or more cups of black tea a day are 9-13% less likely to die from any cause, according to a study by the US National Institutes of Health. It doesn’t matter how you take your tea; you can add milk or sugar or even drink it cold, and the health benefits remain the same. Drinking black tea also cuts your chance of heart disease and stroke. Researchers looked at data on 500,000 people from the UK. It’s one of the thirstiest tea-drinking countries in the world. The average Brit gets through almost 2kg of tea per year.
