Ruth McLachlin

Lead, Climate Technologies, World Economic Forum

Ruth McLachlin is Climate Technologies Lead at the World Economic Forum's Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. She has an International Organizations MBA and a background in human-centered design, research, and innovation.

Her experience includes managing the social inclusion and impact strategy for the Global Plastic Action Partnership, launching IDEO & Ford’s collaborative innovation lab in Palo Alto, bolstering the capacity of non-profits through a social impact fellowship in Detroit, and conducting impact assessment research at MIT's D-Lab. She is passionate about transforming organizations from the inside out to re-design more equitable systems and increase positive impact.

Ruth has a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Computer Science from Wellesley College. Born in Canada, Ruth spent her formative years growing up in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
