Rayan Alamoudi

Global Shaper, Jeddah Hub

Rayan Alamoudi works at the intersection of data infrastructure and the digital entertainment economy. He leads business intelligence within Strategy and PMO at the Esports Foundation, the organisation behind the Esports World Cup.

EWC 2026 in Paris was the first edition of the competition held outside Saudi Arabia, bringing together over 2,000 players from more than 100 countries across 25 tournaments in 24 games, reaching 850 million viewers and selling 175,000 tickets. Rayan ran operations reporting across the full 81 day competition window, rebuilt reporting systems as strategy and technology transitioned from Riyadh to Paris, and owns ticketing data assurance and audience analysis used for live operational decisions.

He has built business intelligence functions from the ground up twice. At resal, a fintech and loyalty company, he founded the BI department, delivered a Snowflake data warehouse, and led the analyst team reporting directly to the CEO. At flyadeal, Saudi Arabia's low cost carrier, he scaled BI across every department, delivering more than 50 dashboards and leading a customer analysis programme built on RFM segmentation.

Rayan's current interest is in measuring what the digital entertainment economy produces beyond audience numbers. As governments across the Gulf build diversification strategies on gaming and esports, he is focused on developing the data that shows what the sector creates in skills, jobs, and career pathways.

He has been a Global Shaper with the Jeddah Hub since 2022, serving as Impact Officer, Vice Curator, and Curator through June 2026. He founded and led four editions of Nasmat Alamal, the hub's flagship Ramadan initiative, delivering more than 16,000 meals and 850 Eid gifts, and led the Gulf expansion of Mariam and the Secret of Saving, a children's financial literacy project originating in the Lisbon Hub, into five hubs across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He has contributed to more than 15 hub initiatives, represented Jeddah at five SHAPE events and the Global Shapers Annual Summit 2025 in Geneva, and co-authored a World Economic Forum article on youth led education.

He teaches and speaks on data and business analysis, including as instructor for Olo Academy's Business Analysis bootcamp, a trainer for the Intaliq entrepreneurship initiative, and a speaker at UBT Business Days 2025 and the DeveGo Conference hosted by the Social Development Bank.
