Phanish Puranam is the Roland Berger Chaired Professor of Strategy and Organisation Design at INSEAD. His research focuses on how organizations function and how they can be designed to work more effectively, with particular emphasis on the role of intelligent algorithms as tools, teammates and templates for organizing. He has published widely in organization science and strategy and is the author of several books, including The Microstructure of Organizations and re-Humanize. At INSEAD, he founded and co-directs executive programmes on artificial intelligence and business transformation. He received his PhD from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
