Per Kristian Hong is a partner and member of the firm’s Health Practice. He has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, market entry, operations strategy, and transformation, serving clients in the pharmaceutical, medtech, and consumer goods industries. He also has significant experience in the chemicals, pulp and paper, and metals and mining sectors.
Per is the leader and principal co-author of Health@250, A.T. Kearney’s major research initiative exploring a range of possible outcomes for the future of US health out to the year 2026, when the United States marks its 250th anniversary.
Per brings a high degree of passion working to equip global clients with the means to compete, grow, and thrive in a global economy. He possesses deep knowledge of how to operate in both developed and developing markets and has a wealth of experience helping major multinational and local corporations alike grow and win in challenging market environments.
Per began his A.T. Kearney career in the London office, where he was based from 1997 to 2005, and then transferred to Chicago. From 2010 to 2016, he was based in Moscow as the managing partner of A.T. Kearney’s unit in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States based in Moscow, growing the team and leading the region through five consecutive years of double-digit growth while navigating market uncertainties.
Per earned a bachelor’s degree in Russian literature with a minor in international relations from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
