In 2019 Miguel was appointed Deloitte´s Global Smart Cities & Local Government Leader. Passionate about the future of cities and mobility, Miguel has embraced this new and exciting challenge with great enthusiasm, bringing his expertise and know-how to the practice. Under his management, Deloitte has committed to work with partners, governments & NGO´s to improve the urban living of more than 1 billion people by 2030.

Miguel coordinates a team of 4000 Smart Cities and Urban Development experts who are focused on advising Cities, Urban Developers and Infrastructure Managers, on the smartest path for the future. This high-performing team leverages from Deloitte´s Partnerships and in-house developed assets and expertise to turn those cities and urban ecosystems greener, smarter and more connected
