Mehrad is a Founding Partner of Cool Climate Collective, a network of investors and operators investing in and rapidly propelling early-stage climate tech startups toward market penetration.
Previously, he served as the Program Director for Terra.do's Climate Change for VCs program, where he honed his skills in driving climate-focused investment initiatives, supporting 40+ participants from corporate VCs from the likes of Salesforce Ventures, JetBlue Ventures & 500 Global.
His drive for tackling climate change extends beyond investments, as he has also worked closely with climate scientists, educators and researchers to support the development of the board game, Solutions: The Game. An educational board game for children and adults, played by policymakers, students, educators, and activists across North America, Europe & MENA.
In addition to his climate work, he co-founded venture-backed Qureos, an experiential edTech startup empowering rising talent in emerging markets. Qureos pioneered contextual mentoring and upskilling by creating three consumer-facing products for over 500k users.
He is an alumni of Dubai Future Accelerators and was involved in programming at various public & private-backed MENA-based incubators and accelerators. He was also the co-host of the Dubai-based startup podcast, Streams of Progress.
As an operator, he has worn many hats from Product Manager to Growth Marketer, where he has built and sold products from D2C e-commerce, EdTech and micro-SaaS.
