Matt Barnard is Co-Founder and CEO of One Bio. A sixth-generation farmer and seasoned entrepreneur, Barnard brings deep expertise in scaling technology ventures that intersect with agriculture and sustainability. Before One Bio, he was Co-Founder and CEO of Plenty, an indoor vertical farming company producing pesticide-free fruits and vegetables year-round near major cities. His earlier roles include President and COO of Whalen & Company, Founder of Search Fund Capital, Managing Operating Partner at 523 Capital, and Vice President of Deployment at SmartSynch, where he led the rollout of over $1 billion in advanced technology infrastructure. Barnard holds an MSc from Stanford Graduate School of Business and both a BA and BM from Northwestern University.
