Madeleine Thomson directs the WHO Collaborating Centre on Malaria Early Warning Systems and Other Climate Sensitive Diseases at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI), Earth Institute, Columbia University. She is also a Senior Research Scientist at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society and Senior Scholar at the Mailman School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health Sciences – at Columbia University. She is a founding member of the Meningitis Environmental Risk Information Technologies (MERIT) research consortium and the Vice-President of a non-profit 501(3)c, the Health and Climate Foundation. She is currently engaged by the Wellcome Trust as “Special Adviser – Environment, Nutrition & Health”.
