Jin Canrong is a professor and Associate Dean with the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China. He was also a visiting professor at the Gerald Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan, in 2003 and 2007, and the “Weilun” Chair Professor at Tsinghua University in 2006. Before joining Renmin University, he worked for the Institute of American Studies at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) from 1987 to 2002. His studies focus on American politics, American foreign policy, Sino-US relations and China’s foreign policy and his main publications include over 100 academic papers, over 600 articles for mass media, 7 books and 5 translated books.
