Bain & Company: Leader, Strategy, Performance Improvement, and Transformation Practices
Hernan has over 25 years of advisory and consulting expertise working in North and Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. He has held a number of leadership roles at Bain, including Global Head of the Performance Improvement Practice and Managing Partner of Bain's Dallas, Houston, and Mexico City offices. Hernan has also served on Bain's Board of Directors, including the Strategy, M&A, and Talent Committees. Specializing in corporate transformations, full potential programs, and operational turnarounds, Hernan has significant operations and transformation expertise across a number of sectors, including airlines, consumer goods and retail, industrial products and services, distribution, and healthcare. He also has deep expertise in corporate and business unit strategy, growth and international expansion, and organizational and supply chain realignment.
Hernan serves as an advisor to the World Economic Forum's Platform on Shaping the Future of Advanced Manufacturing and Production and leads Bain's current work on Accelerating Digital Traceability and the Circular Transformation of Industries, both developed in collaboration with the WEF. He is a member of the Chief Operation Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Geopolitical Officer communities at the WEF.
Hernan is a visiting Senior Lecturer in the Department of Strategy and Business Economics at Cornell University's SC Johnson College of Business. Prior to joining Bain in 1998, Hernan was a faculty member in economics at INCAE, and worked as a consultant advising financial institutions and regulatory entities in Latin America.
