Helen Gordon's Notes From Deep Time is forthcoming from Profile Books. Her other books include a novel, Landfall (Penguin) and, as an editor, Being a Writer (Frances Lincoln). Her journalism has appeared in, among other places, Wired and The Economist's 1843 magazine. She teaches creative writing at the University of Hertfordshire and lives in south London.
