Harmeet Bawa is Group Senior Vice President and Global Head of Government and Institutional Relations at Hitachi Energy (previously Hitachi ABB Power Grids, a joint venture between Hitachi and ABB). He took over his present role in January 2019.
Harmeet joined the ABB Group more than 35 years ago and has served across a range of functions including market and business development, corporate strategy, investor relations and communications in UK, Sweden, India and South Asia. He joined the company’s Group headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland in 2008 as Head of Market Development for Global Markets and subsequently assumed global responsibility for the Communications function across the company’s Power Products and Power Systems businesses, that later merged into Power Grids. Harmeet holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction, from Glasgow Caledonian University, U.K.
