Lord Barker of Battle

Greg Barker, Lord Barker of Battle, is a strategic advisor, sustainability leader, and former UK Minister of State for Energy & Climate Change, with a long-standing focus on advancing the global Green Economy. He currently chairs the Electric Vehicle Network (EVN), the UK’s leading developer of ultra-fast charging infrastructure, and serves as a non-executive director of FTSE-250 ME Group International plc. He also represented the UK at key international climate negotiations and launched the Capital Markets Climate Initiative to mobilise private capital.
Following his departure from Parliament, Greg Barker chaired En+, the world’s largest producer of low-carbon aluminium, leading a major sustainability-driven transformation. He later co-chaired the World Bank’s Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition.
In addition to his business roles, he serves on the board of the Clean Growth Leadership Network and is a governor of Lancing College. He has been a member of the House of Lords since 2015.
