Edvard Glucksman

Associate Research Fellow, University of Exeter

Edvard is a scientist developing research strategies aligned with water-based threats to the global mining industry. At the same time, he is co-authoring an educational textbook in the bio-geosciences, explaining the intricate interrelationship between life’s evolution and Earth’s history. Edvard has previously worked both as a postdoctoral researcher in microbial ecology and as a professional science communicator with the European Geosciences Union, Europe’s largest organization in the Earth and planetary sciences. He has also worked as an advisor at the UK Parliamentary Office of Science & Technology, where he wrote a parliamentary briefing on economics-based biodiversity conservation schemes. Edvard is an active member of the transatlantic Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy network, coordinated by the Atlantic Council and Ecologic Institute think tanks. He holds a doctorate (Zoology) and a master’s degree from the University of Oxford, a BSc from the University of St Andrews, and a BA from McGill University. Though he grew up in Belgium, Edvard is a Swedish citizen.
