Dan Salazar is a Director at Mastercard. His efforts focus on building commercially viable approaches to financial inclusion. Dan has led the development of a series of papers to share insights from Mastercard’s financial inclusion programmes and partnerships. He manages Mastercard’s prepaid humanitarian products and tracks progress toward reaching the company’s financial inclusion goals. Dan previously led acceptance strategy and engagement efforts at Mastercard focused on financial inclusion. His career has focused on innovation in financial services. In addition to significant experience in the private sector, Dan has worked for Accion and FINCA. He attended Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied Economics and History, and did his graduate work at Ohio State University in Agricultural Economics, where he focused on Rural Finance.
