Claire Sunderland Hay is the Head of Business Planning and Operations as well as Chief of Staff for Visa Europe. She is responsible for Europe wide initiatives and multi year planning, as well as governance and performance.

Before joining Visa, Claire was at the Bank of England where amongst other things she was responsible for system wide policy tools and for establishing the Bank of England’s work on FinTech, including the innovative Accelerator.

Claire is a qualified accountant, with experience in corporate finance and a Masters in Mathematics from the University of Oxford.
