Christiana is US CEO, with responsibility for all Santander businesses in the United States. She is a member of the Santander Holdings USA, Inc (SHUSA), Santander Bank, N.A. (SBNA) and Corporate and Investment Banking New York Boards
Christiana is a well-recognized industry leader, earning accolades for overseeing the Americas regional implementation of the largest structural transformation of Deutsche Bank in decades, including a new strategy and a refocusing on market-leading businesses, as well as efforts to promote diverse workplace practices.
Her commentary has been featured in top-tier outlets like Bloomberg, Reuters, and the Financial Times – which also named Christiana one of “Ten People Set to Shape Wall Street in 2020.”
Prior to her current role, Christiana held a number of roles within the bank’s Group Strategy team and served as the bank's Head of Corporate Strategy from 2011 – 2015. In 2015, she became CFO of Deutsche Bank's Corporate & Investment Bank, responsible for DB’s largest operating division.
Beyond her corporate role, Christiana is active in the broader business community, serving on numerous boards including the Partnership for New York City, Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose (CECP), the American Council on Germany (ACG), the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS), the Arthur F. Burns Fellowship, and the Cranach Foundation. She also serves on the Supervisory Board of The Clearing House and is Vice Chair and a member Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Bankers (IIB).
Christiana graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts, and holds an MBA from the London Business School – where she currently serves as a member of its Governing Body.
