Chafic Nassif

Head of Ericsson North East Asia, SVP, Ericsson

Chafic Nassif leads one of the company’s most advanced regions, working closely with industry leaders, partners, and public sector stakeholders on the evolution of next-generation connectivity and its role in shaping competitive, resilient digital economies.

His work centers on how network architecture is becoming a determining factor in how intelligence is distributed and scaled, and ultimately monetized—particularly as AI moves into increasingly real-time and decentralized environments. At a time when much of the digital agenda is focused on applications, Nassif engages with communication service providers, enterprises, and policymakers on the underlying infrastructure choices that will shape long-term competitiveness, resilience, and strategic autonomy.

Prior to this role, Nassif led Ericsson’s business across North Latin America and the Caribbean, where he supported large-scale network modernization and digitalization initiatives across diverse and rapidly evolving markets.

Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership roles across multiple regions and business environments, including serving as President and Board Member of Ericsson Taiwan. He also contributed to industry dialogue as Co-Chair of the Telecommunications and Media Committee at the European Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan.

Nassif is a strong advocate for the role of technology as a force for inclusive growth, with a particular focus on driving positive momentum in societies and enabling broader participation. He is especially engaged in advancing learning and inclusion, and in supporting greater participation of women in STEM.

He holds a BSc in Engineering from the American University of Beirut, and two MSc degrees from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He has also completed executive education programs at IMD Business School, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Boston University, Stanford University, and Harvard University.
