How can we avoid being fooled by fake news? Our social networks are bombarded by information and it is almost impossible to discern what is real and what is unreliable information.
Carlos Carrasco-Farré, PhD, is a researcher in the Department of Operations, Innovation and Data Sciences at ESADE Business School. He specialises in computational social science applied to social media and misinformation. His work has been published in academic journals such as Research Policy, California Management Review, Strategy Science, Social Science Computer Review and Technological Forecasting and Social Change, among other scientific outlets. Beyond his academic work, he has also participated in several national and European projects for applying artificial intelligence and data science to solve business and social challenges.
