Burke Norton is Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Perennial Investing at Vista Equity Partners, a leading global investment firm with more than $73 billion in assets under management, which invests in software, data and technology-enabled organizations. Previously, Norton was Chief of Corporate Affairs and Chief Legal Officer at Salesforce and was a member of the company’s executive committee. Prior to joining Salesforce, Norton was executive vice president, general counsel and a member of the office of the chairman at Expedia, where he was responsible for legal and corporate affairs, government relations, corporate transactions, compliance, litigation and intellectual property matters. Previously, Norton was a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, where he practiced corporate and securities law, representing clients in the enterprise software, telecommunications, semiconductor, life sciences, entertainment, and e-commerce industries, with an emphasis on complex corporate transactions, including public and private equity and debt financings and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, as well as corporate governance, regulatory, and intellectual property matters.
