Bruno Sánchez-Andrade Nuño is Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of LGND, building queryable Earth infrastructure that enables governments, industry and humanitarian actors to understand the planet in real time. He is also Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Clay Foundation, stewarding one of the world’s leading open Earth-observation foundation models.

He previously led major analytics, geospatial and AI programmes at NASA, the World Bank, Microsoft’s Planetary Computer, and as Chief Scientist at Mapbox. His work spans poverty measurement, conflict and environmental monitoring, agricultural resilience, and climate and air-quality governance, with publications in leading journals and features across NASA and global media.

A WEF Young Global Leader and former member of the Global Future Council on Space, he serves on strategic boards advising governments, space agencies and companies on climate, data and AI governance. He holds a PhD (Hons) in Astrophysics (Max Planck Institute) and is recognized for advancing Impact Science — turning planetary-scale data into actionable decisions.
