Antonio is the Head for the Health and Wellness Pillar in the Centre for Health and Healthcare at the World Economic Forum.
This pillar within the Centre is to promote equitable access, women’s health, prevention and well-being to drive inclusive economic growth. The three initiatives in this pillar consist of the Global Alliance for Women's Health, Health for All, and Healthy Longevity. The three communities of action align the interests of more than 200+ organizations and funding from global philanthropies including the Gates Foundation.
Antonio is an innovation and partnership development expert with a track record of creating impactful companies and corporate programmes across health and healthcare, insurance, digital health, and digital media over his 25+ year career in the US, Europe, and Asia. Prior to moving to Geneva and joining the Forum in 2024, Antonio was based in Singapore for 10 years where he worked with investors, insurance, media, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and technology organisations to create ecosystems of change that include digital health solutions. His roles included Senior Adviser in Healthcare Data and Technology for the European Policy Centre, Venture Partner for Verge HealthTech Fund, Advisor for Mission Leapfrog by Roche, Steering Committee Member for Frontiers Health, and Head of Health Innovation for MetLife Asia. Antonio is also an exited startup founder with a history of building and scaling multiple startups as a founder and non-executive board director.
His thought leadership activities as a content creator are found across multiple platforms including books, podcasts including as host of the Digital Health Today and FutureProofing Healthcare podcasts, events, and YouTube. His perspectives on the future of health are influenced by his multi-stakeholder operating experience across 20 countries.
