Ana Ruth Villarreal García

She is currently a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at a Fullbright exchange. She has specialized in working with governments to create policies that generate efficient and innovative solutions to problems of public interest, as well as in designing strategic planning processes for organizations and creating multilevel alliances. In recent months, she has dedicated her time to coaching organizations in their strategic planning processes and training their employees in agile methodologies to drive innovation processes. Until May 2022, she was an advisor to the Minister of the Presidency. As an advisor, she has supported different teams in initiatives related to the improvement of human talent, the generation of quality employment, and projects related to the creation of national conditions for the promotion of investment. Between 2018 and 2021, she also served as advisor to the Minister of Coordination with the Private Sector. Previously, between 2014 and 2018, she served as Presidential Advisor to the Vice Presidency of the Republic of Costa Rica and Coordinator of the Presidential Council for Innovation and Human Talent. She has a law degree from the University of Costa Rica. She is pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Social Programs Management at the Central American Institute of Public Administration and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Conflict and Collaboration at Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University.
