Partnering Against Corruption Initiative - Annual Report 2010

2010 has been a remarkable year for the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) and its fight against corruption. There have been a number of important developments that will contribute to a more level playing field for businesses across industries and regions:• The design and implementation of a review mechanism for the UN Convention Against Corruption, the only truly global legal instrument in the fight against corruption, took shape.• The United Kingdom adopted a Bribery Bill, raising the bar for companies with extraterritorial provisions, going even further than the ones of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.• The G20 demonstrated strong leadership by stressing the important role of the private sector in fighting corruption and setting corruption as a priority for 2011. Further details on the Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI), it\'s history, achievements and outlook for 2011 can be found in this Annual Report.
