Problem Statement
The social dynamics within the El Remanso neighborhood in the city of Pereira have historically led to marginalization and social exclusion within the urban context. The majority of its residents belong to vulnerable populations, including Indigenous people, Afro-descendants, and victims of forced displacement. These groups often experience double segregation and social discrimination, both within the neighborhood and in the broader city framework. Given these challenges, an intervention was necessary to redefine communal spaces, fostering a sense of belonging and improving interactions among residents.

Proposed solution
The Pereira Hub launched the project "Reparqueando" under the initiative "The Remanso Colorido Project," which aimed to transform public spaces into places of community gathering and artistic expression. Through collaborative activities, we sought to improve both the physical environment and the social fabric of the neighborhood.
Over the course of one year and eight months, Reparqueando implemented key activities such as painting sessions to beautify communal areas, art workshops to encourage creativity and unity, and cleanup sessions to reclaim essential spaces. This was part of a comprehensive process of community transformation, revitalizing public spaces and strengthening social bonds.
