Vinicius Laguardia is a sustainability professional with over six years of experience advancing climate and environmental agendas across the private sector, government, and international organizations. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Mechatronics (PUC Minas).
He is currently PMO for COP30 at Vale, Brazil’s largest mining company, where he leads efforts to deliver an impactful agenda at the event. He also promotes the just transition agenda by supporting bioeconomy and renewable energy projects that empower communities to lead the green transition.
Previously, Vinicius worked as a climate consultant at Systemica, focusing on carbon projects, and at EBP, a Swiss consultancy, where he supported climate strategies, net zero plans, and carbon accounting. He also contributed to COP26-related initiatives with the UK government in Brazil and advanced UK business development at the British Consulate. Also, he strengthened sustainability and community engagement at Stellantis.
A former curator and leader of the Global Shapers Community, he co-leads the network in Brazil to strengthen youth engagement in the COP30 agenda with focus on partnerships. Recently, he was selected to join the ILO’s Green Jobs Academy. Vinicius believes Brazil holds a unique potential to shape the green future the world needs — and aspires to be a bridge-builder for collaboration, fostering the creation of green and fair jobs worldwide.
