Has worked in different consulting offices in Egypt with national and international counterparts, including as Head, Solid Waste Unit, Chemonics Egypt Consultants. Has been involved in several projects in solid waste and hazardous waste management and wastewater treatment plants in Egypt. Since 1998, University Staff Member, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt; currently leading research projects in the field of waste management and bio-energy, and involved in TEMPUS projects. Member: Global Young Academy; Steering Committee, Egyptian Young Academy of Sciences. Has published several journal papers and book chapters. Recipient, National Graduate Student Paper Award for PhD conducted at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada, Canadian Geotechnical Society.
