Sergio has spent the last 17 years working for sustainable development in initiatives with large companies such as Vale, Anglo American, Bunge, Embraer and Petrobras. He has also been working to improve the quality of public services in dozens of cities and government agencies and has collaborated with international institutions such as UNDP, EU Delegation to Brazil and IADB. He is member of National Council for Transparency and Corruption Prevention and in the National Commission for the Sustainable Development Goals (CNODS). Sergio leveraged his experience to starting Agenda Pública, a NGO which acted in more than 300 municipalities throughout Brazil, especially in areas where large infrastructure, mining and agribusiness projects are being developed, influencing public services, the economy and local communities. He holds an master´s degree in Public Administration and Government from Getúlio Vargas Foundation and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of São Paulo. He also has a postgraduate's in International Economic Negotiations.
