Ryan leads Apple’s work on certifications and standards for Apple's Closed Loop and Carbon Neutral goals; working with internal and external teams to help define what “good” looks like, how to prioritize efforts and how to navigate tradeoffs. Prior to joining Apple in 2014, Ryan was a Post-Doc in Material Science at UCLA working on battery chemistries.
