Pania Tyson-Nathan

Chief Executive Officer, NZ Māori Tourism

For over 30 years, Pania has actively participated in the advancement of Māori business and economic growth. NZ Māori Tourism has adopted a purposeful approach to engage with stakeholders, distributors, and consumers who share similar values. This approach is complimented by an intergenerational business model and mindset. Alongside this, our carefully curated Māori tourism experiences have transitioned from product delivery to experience providers. These factors have played a pivotal role in shaping our past, our present and our future.
Sustainable business practices are inherently woven into our identity, forming an integral part of our cultural and commercial DNA. We have a collective responsibility to ensure the preservation and protection of our cultural integrity, our people, our communities, and our environment for future generations.
Manaaki whenua, manaaki tangata, haere whakamua
If we take care of the land and take care of our people, we will take care of the future.
