Narena Assefh

Global Shaper, Rosario Hub

Narena Assefh is an internationalist with a strong background in public policy, sustainable development, and political economy. She works as Internationalization and Strategic Projects Advisor at the Outreach Secretariat at National University of Rosario where she lead the fundraising strategy and coordinates the 2030 Agenda (the UN’s academic hub for SDG 13 in LATAM). Additionally, Narena works at the Rosario Stock Exchange, home to the world’s largest grain-exporting port. Previously, she served as a legislative advisor and coordinated UNICEF’s MUNA initiative in Rosario, she is experienced in international compliance and international trade.
She is a researcher of the University, focusing on political economy and the interplay between new financial services, monetary innovations, and state sovereignty. In addition to publishing on financial topics, she has written extensively on public education and democracy in Argentina. During her university years, she was recognized for her leadership in the co-governance body and as a student advisor on skills innovation for the political science degree. Narena is fluent in English and Spanish, with advanced in Mandarin, which strengthens her cross-cultural communication and understanding. Beyond academia, Narena is engaged in political activism, as a member of a party advocating for democracy and civic participation.
