Nadia Ahmad Samdin

Counsel and Project Leader, Tri-Sector Associates

Nadia Ahmad Samdin currently serves as the youngest member of Singapore’s 14th Parliament, representing Ang Mo Kio GRC. She speaks on various environmental and social issues, such as nature and marine conservation, mental health, ageing, public housing, youth empowerment and gender equity. She has 18 years of experience in community development and currently serves on various boards and committees, including SHE, a non-profit that strives to empower women and girls through public-private partnerships and tackles online harms.

As Team Lead in DBS Foundation, Nadia oversees programmes and partnerships under the theme of Providing Essential Needs, in particular on food and nutritional security, access to healthcare (including mental health) and basic education, working across 6 markets in Asia.

With prior experiences in outcomes-based impact financing models, current affairs journalism and Mergers & Acquisitions, she was recognized on the 2020 Straits Times 30 and Under Singaporeans to Watch list, Singapore Business Review’s 21 Most Influential Lawyers 40 and Under, as well as 2021 Prestige 40 Under 40. Samdin has co-authored articles in the Stanford Social Innovation Review, and was an Adjunct Fellow with the NUS Centre for Pro Bono & Clinical Legal Education.
