H.E. Dr. Nabeel M. Al-Amudi is the CEO of the Olayan Financing Company (OFC) and is a board member on the Olayan Saudi Holding Company (OSHCO). He also serves on the board of Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) the second largest mobile operator in the Kingdom. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Imam Abdulrahman University and a Board Member on the Saudi Infra Fund.
Dr. Al-Amudi served as the Minister of Transport for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between 2017 and 2019. Previously, Dr. Al-Amudi oversaw the activities of the Saudi Ports Authority (SPA) as President and Vice Chairman.
Dr. Al-Amudi has had the opportunity to chair and serve on many distinguished company boards. He has been a board member of: Saudi Aramco, the largest global energy producer; Sulaiman Alhabib Medical Group, a leading private medical services provider in the Kingdom; Hapag-Lloyd AG, a German-listed container shipping company; the Neom Development Company and the Red Sea Development Company. Dr. Al-Amudi also previously chaired the Saudi Railways Company, United Arab Shipping Company and the Saudi-based Tabadul Company.
Prior to his government appointments, Dr. Al-Amudi enjoyed a distinguished career with Saudi Aramco. He joined Saudi Aramco in 1995 and held a series of positions of increasing responsibility in various areas of the company inside and outside the Kingdom, particularly in the Law and Corporate Planning functions. His final position within Saudi Aramco was President of the Houston-based Aramco Services Company.
In addition to his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, earned with distinction in 1995, Dr. Al-Amudi received a JD from Harvard Law School in 2001. Dr. Al-Amudi is also a graduate of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business Executive Program and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
