As UAE Market Leader and Abu Dhabi office managing partner , Mona’s focus is on strengthening Oliver Wyman’s impact in the region, deepening relationships with clients and stakeholders, and fostering growth opportunities for the firm’s people and business. She brings a wealth of leadership experience across the public and private sectors: most recently she served as a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she led the Abu Dhabi office and the social sector practice for the EEMA region, driving work on sustainability, economic diversification and investment attraction, government machinery reform, human capital and employment, and philanthropy/aid/corporate citizenship; she has worked with governments, the private sector and foundations alike in that space.
Mona is a published author, has served on multiple non profit boards, and is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. Prior to McKinsey, she was Senior Director at the Office of Strategic Affairs in the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, where she led initiatives in global health, socioeconomic reform, and national development strategy.
Her career also includes senior roles at Booz & Company and positions with international organizations such as the IMF and the UN, giving her a unique perspective on advancing economic reform, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Mona holds a Ph.D. in Development Economics from Oxford University, an MPA in International Development from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Economics (with High Distinction) from the American University of Beirut; her native language is Arabic, she is fluent in English, and she has a good knowledge of French.
