Manasi Subramaniam is Editor-in-Chief and Vice President at Penguin Random House India, overseeing flagship literary imprints: Hamish Hamilton, Allen Lane, Viking, Penguin Classics and Penguin. She has published some of the most exciting writers in South Asia, including winners of the Booker, Pulitzer and several other prestigious prizes. She has been honoured as a 2022 Maurice R. Greenberg Yale World Fellow, a 2023 Fisher Family Summer Fellow at Stanford, and a 2023 Raisina Young Fellow.
Manasi has also been recognized for her contributions to global publishing and has been invited to the Frankfurt Buchmesse fellowship, the Bureau International de l'Édition Française fellowship, the Australia Council for the Arts Visiting International Publishers program, and the Zev Birger fellowship. She is committed to making publishing more inclusive and accessible and bringing underrepresented voices into mainstream media, and has spoken on trends in publishing at world forums.
