University of Buenos Aires Law School. 1985, Deputy Prosecutor, Argentina military juntas trial; 1987-92, Prosecutor, Federal Criminal Court of Buenos Aires, including prosecutions against guerrilla leaders and military rebellions and conducted many prosecutions against public officials for corruption; 1992, founded private law firm, specialized in corruption control. Since 2003, Prosecutor, International Criminal Court, with mandate to select and trigger investigations and prosecutions of most serious crimes of concern to international community, namely genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes; opened investigations into the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Darfur, Sudan, and Central African Republic; analysed alleged crimes under jurisdiction of court and existence of genuine national proceedings in Georgia, Colombia, Kenya, Afghanistan and Côte d'Ivoire. Former Visiting Professor, Stanford and Harvard universities. Author of books and articles relating to massive crimes and corruption.
