Soon after obtaining his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1990, Prof. Letaief was faculty member at University of Melbourne until 1993. Since 1993, he has been with HKUST where he is currently Chair Professor and Dean of Engineering. He served as consultants for different organizations and is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. Dr. Letaief is the IEEE Communications Society Vice-President for Technical Activities. He is Fellow of IEEE and ISI highly-cited author.
