Julianne K. Viola is a social scientist investigating youth political engagement in a contemporary society characterized by technology use. She holds a BA in Government (Cornell University), EdM in Education Policy and Management (Harvard Graduate School of Education), DPhil in Education (University of Oxford). Julianne is the author of Young People's Civic Identity in the Digital Age (Palgrave Macmillan 2020), and has written for The Conversation and has appeared on the BBC World Service.
