John is a young professional in the youth space who is passionate about human capital development targeted especially on youth from underserved communities. John currently works with STAR Leadership Academy where he oversees the international students and alumni portfolio. STAR Leadership Academy is the first of its kind leadership academy which aims at raising Africa’s next generation of ethical leaders. John is also a passionate youth mental health advocate and has served in the Harare hub as the mental health project lead from 2021 to 2023. He has also served as a youth advisor for Orygen Global Advisory Council advising them on the formulation of a global strategy for youth mental health. He was also a committee member of the international association for youth mental health where he served as an abstract reviewer. John is currently the Harare Hubs vice curator.
