Jagdeep Singh Bachher is responsible for managing the University of California pension, endowment, retirement savings and working capital investment pools. Previously, Mr Bachher was Executive Vice-president of venture and innovation for Alberta Investment Management Corp (AIMCo) in Canada. He also served as AIMCo's Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he was President of JH Investments (Delaware) and worked for Manulife Financial in its US wealth management, Canadian and investments divisions. Mr Bachher is a visiting scholar in the Global Projects Center at Stanford University and Chairman Emeritus of the Institutional Investors Roundtable. He is also a member of the Young Presidents' Organisation and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
