In his current role as the first Chief Data Officer in Egypt, he is leading a fantastic team of professionals powering capability spanning from traditional BI disciplines, Visualization and descriptive analytics, to Data Science, operational research and customer insights on big data platforms.

His mandate is to push the competitive advantage of data as corporate assets by blending the economic and business knowledge with Data Science to drive incremental value for the business through improved business performance, better marketing leads, insights and customer satisfaction, engagement experience and safe guard the bank by applying a sophisticated risk and fraud detection models.

Islam has a Phd. in applied mathematics, and MBA from university of Chicago- Booth Business School-with outstanding track record in the area of Analytics and Corporate Performance Management.
