Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Social Ventures Hong Kong

Francis Wah Sing Ngai is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Social Ventures Hong Kong, the first non-profit venture philanthropy fund dedicated to supporting and nurturing social enterprises in Hong Kong, as well as promoting young professionals' participation in social entrepreneurship. Projects include Diamond Cab, Dialogue in the Dark HK and Concert in the Dark; social innovation is promoted through the Sonova Institute.
Before founding the organization in 2007, Ngai was Assistant Vice-President and Head of Strategy of PCCW Solutions, a listed technology conglomerate that is responsible for the corporate development and strategy in China. He currently serves on a number of government advisories, including a part-time Member of Hong Kong's Central Policy Unit, and is a part-time visiting lecturer in universities, focusing on social innovation and entrepreneurship. Ngai received the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award Hong Kong in 2011.
