An international executive manager committed to fostering socioeconomic development through technology. As Siemens CEO in Oman, Claudia focuses on promoting smart cities and energy efficiency technologies in the Sultanate. Some successes include the first Siemens Digital Substation in the Middle East, a cybersecurity pilot project for electricity generation and transmission (first of its kind in the world) and the first Siemens microgrid installation in the region. Under her leadership, Siemens Oman was awarded the largest contract of its history, for a power plant in Duqm - the pole of Oman's economic diversification. Claudia values youth and education deeply and thus has launched a Talent Program for fresh graduates and developed a cooperation program with the top university in the country. Prior to Oman, she worked with Siemens in Germany, Denmark and China for various businesses.
Originally from Brazil, she started her career in strategy consulting, undertaking projects in France, Morocco, South Africa and the USA, besides her home country. She then co-founded a SaaS edtech startup in Brazil, Eduqo, which she ran for a couple of years and then took an advisor role when she joined Siemens. Under Claudia's co-leadership, Eduqo's online educational platform reached 10,000 students in its first year of operation. Eight years later, it is already a profitable business, serving almost 200,000 students across the country.
In 2020, Claudia was nominated by Forbes Middle East as one of the most powerful businesswomen in the region. She holds an Aeronautical Engineering Degree from Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica and an MBA/MA in International Studies from the Wharton School/Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania.
