Ahsan Ansari

Global Shaper, San Francisco Hub

I started my career in undergrad at the University of Michigan, studying Biomedical Engineering and Art/Design. My early career was focused on academic research in areas like physics, neuroscience, and space science. This culminated in a summer internship spent research at the South African National Space Agency.

After graduating I joined an early stage health tech company as a product manager, helping them build out a mobile app and help content. I've since moved to the American Medical Association, where my focus is on building tech solutions to address hypertension across the US.

I have volunteered at organizations that increase access to education. In college I interned at iamtheCODE - a non-profit aimed to teach 1 million women and girls to code by 2030. Today I am a lead at Shelter Connect, a non-profit that installs free wifi to low income residents across the Bay Area.

In my free time I enjoy photography (documentary work in various exhibits), playing soccer (huge barcelona fan), hiking, and playing table tennis.
