Adiza Abdul-Rafiu Mohammed is a passionate environmental advocate and Global Ambassador with Youth4Nature, representing Ghana and Canada (North America). She is currently pursuing a Master’s in International Marine Science at Heriot-Watt University, deepening her expertise in ocean conservation, marine policy, and ecosystem sustainability.
As the author of Waves of Change—a children’s book designed to inspire climate and ocean action—Adiza uses storytelling as a powerful educational tool to engage young minds across cultures. Her Heroes of the Earth series, including the upcoming Afrika – Our Amazing Planet, aims to bridge the gap between science and community action by making environmental education accessible, inclusive, and locally relevant.
Through her leadership roles in the Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOP) Africa Node, and as the founder of Social Youth Drive Foundation, she amplifies youth voices in climate discourse and supports initiatives focused on education, biodiversity, and climate resilience. Now based in Atlantic Canada, she works at the intersection of environmental communication, science, and policy—building global solidarity and promoting nature-based solutions.
