wellcome

wellcome is a non-profit organization that provides fast, non-bureaucratic support for mothers overwhelmed by a newborn or with many children at home by organizing neighbourhood help, matching volunteers to families with babies. Working with institutions and paediatricians, it aims to reduce stressful situations, post-partum depressions, and violence against children. It acts as a gateway to the numerous organizations in Germany offering support to families and children. Founded in 2002 in Hamburg with two local teams, it has expanded by using a unique social franchise system. Today it is represented by over 230 teams in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
